The Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), in collaboration with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), will convene the 2026 GenomeTrakr Meeting in November.
The meeting will bring together federal partners, public health and university laboratories that contribute to the FDA’s GenomeTrakr network. Meeting participants will receive the latest information from the FDA, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on their respective networks and surveillance activities to support foodborne disease surveillance and public health decision-making.
The agenda will include focused sessions on NARMS, new sequencing and analytical methods, updates on the economic return on investment of WGS, LFFM activities and other topics relevant to the GenomeTrakr community. Participants will also learn how states and federal partners are using whole genome sequencing data to support foodborne disease surveillance and public health decision-making.
Advanced registration through APHL is required to attend the meeting. There is no registration fee.
