DESCRIPTION

The Laboratory Response Network for Biological Threats Preparedness (LRN-B) Technical Meeting is designed for laboratorians working in federal, state and local public health laboratories. This two and a half day meeting will bring together those working in biological preparedness and response to address network and method updates, emerging technologies, collaboration, proficiency testing, case studies, and future strategic priorities.

AUDIENCE

This meeting is designed for biologists performing LRN-B testing, supervisors responsible for oversight of biological threat testing, laboratory directors, and LRN-B partners.

TRANSPORTATION

The San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is located about 13 miles from the hotel. Taxis/ride shares (Uber/Lyft) are available for the trip. From San Antonio International Airport, guests can take public buses operated by VIA Metropolitan Transit to reach the Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk. Routes 5 and 7 run from the airport area toward downtown, where guests can get off and walk about 10 minutes to the hotel. The trip typically takes 35–50 minutes depending on traffic and wait times, and a one-way fare is about $2.

The fee for registration is $200. Pre-registration is required to participate in this meeting. On-site registration will be available for this meeting.

Participants are responsible for lodging, dinners, and transportation costs. It is important to begin your travel approval process (without making any non-refundable travel plans) with your state or local agency as soon as possible.
