DESCRIPTION
This meeting will explore the current landscape of Antimicrobial Resistance Laboratory Network (AR Lab Network) activities in the Central region. During this meeting, attendees will participate in sessions to share and increase their knowledge of antimicrobial resistance (AR) activities at the national, regional and state levels of the AR Lab Network. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to engage with and strengthen the relationships with their federal, public health laboratory and epidemiology colleagues.
AUDIENCE
This meeting is intended for public health laboratory professionals and epidemiologists who work in the field of AR and healthcare-associated infections (HAI).
OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of the program, the participant will be able to:
- Discuss the AR prevention and response activities of the Central region
- Describe the impact of the AR prevention and response activities to submitters and the network as a whole
- Describe a case study from the Central region which highlights the collaborative efforts of public health laboratory scientists and HAI/AR epidemiologists
- Craft a persuasive story to communicate a success story pertaining to AR
