  • 1.  Need Your Help: APHL Success Stories

    Posted 21 days ago

The APHL Informatics team is working on a new project, and we need our communities help getting it off the ground.

We've embarked on a new project aimed at collecting stories from our members that share how pandemic funding has transformed their laboratory operations, enabled achievements, and contributed to public health advancements. Your stories will showcase the power of innovation in public health informatics, inspiring future initiatives and fostering a community of knowledge sharing.

Whether you're a Bench Scientist, IT Specialist, or Lab Director; we want to hear your stories about how the surge in additional pandemic funding impacted your lab's operations in ways such as:

    • Modernization of core data infrastructure or successes related to the Data Modernization Initiative
    • Enhancements to data exchange capacity or expansion of data exchange partners
    • Infrastructure or equipment acquisitions and upgrades (LIMS, e.g.)
    • Development of evaluation and assessment capabilities
    • Addition of critical staff members and needed positions
    • Opportunities to streamline operations within the laboratory
    • Adoption/Implementation of key policies and standards

Submit your story by following the link below, be sure to include any supporting data or multimedia, and reach out to me with questions or suggestions. Those who share their story by May 1st, 2024 can be spotlighted at APHL's Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, MI.
