    Hello, everyone!

Thank you so much for attending our second Interoperability Forum last week. I wanted to express a very big thank you to our speakers from Tennessee and Nebraska for conducting demos and sharing some of their recent implementation successes.

A recording of the session can be found in the resources on this site. Linked here. Please feel free to share with any colleagues who were not able to attend.

I also wanted to share a few pieces of information and links that were discussed during the call:

    1. APHL seeks to convene a group of 10 - 15 members for a DMI Implementation PHL workgroup. This group will work on synthesizing DMI activities across labs, and helping to identify/advocate for common solutions as well as developing strategies to consolidate efforts and approaches. APHL needs input from the labs directly to determine how to best support our membership under DMI, and we need to bring a mix of both technical experts and laboratory leadership to the same table so that we can understand and communicate what is required, and what is possible at both a high level and a technical level. If you are interested in joining, please fill out this quick form or e-mail Rachel.shepherd@aphl.org with any questions.

    2. APHL's AMD Manager Christin Hanigan is working to convene a working group for our members to discuss ways to integrate Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and bioinformatics analysis into laboratory informatics systems. If you have any questions, please contact Christin Hanigan - christin.hanigan@aphl.org and if you are interested, please fill out the form here and she will be in touch: Microsoft Forms

Please stay tuned for our next Interoperability Forum in late September (date TBD) where we will focus on NextGen sequencing.

Finally, we encourage you to use this platform to engage with colleagues--feel free to reach out with questions, tips, ideas, concerns--we want to ensure that everyone can stay connected, especially as we navigate the Data Modernization Initiative and other opportunities.

    Thanks so much.

    Best,

    Rachel

    Hi Rachel!

I am not sure if this has already been reported but when I click on the link to the recorded session from 06/22 I get the following:

I forwarded this to Gary and he also received the above error.

    Thanks!

    Hi everyone,

I've updated the file in the resources so that the recording for the Interoperability Forum on June 29 is now visible. Thanks for pointing out that it had been taken down, Shondra. I'm not sure why that happened. In any event, it is now available and I've updated the original post with the updated link as well.

    Thanks,

    Rachel
